The "New" Sun Valley Golf Course
Same Course - New Beginning
Sun Valley is an affordable 18 hole public golf course laid out on
a beautiful 200 acre tract in Lincoln County in Eastern Missouri. Sun Valley
features significant elevation changes and breathtaking views of both the
course and surrounding countryside. One of Eastern Missouri's best kept
secrets, Sun Valley is challenging for the proficient golfer, yet fair
and generous for the beginner. This "crown jewel" is truly a diamond in
the rough!
The course is in great shape as we head into the new season. Much needed
winter precipitation and early spring rains have filled our lakes. When
coupled with the significant improvements we have made over the last two
years, this will allow us to maintain the course in excellent condition
all year long. If you haven’t played Sun Valley lately you might want to
round up your friends and come out for a new game.
Course management includes: PGA Professional Kirk Porter, known for
his work at St. Andrews Golf Course, and currently managing Bear Creek
Golf Course in Wentzville. Curt "Chase" Derr, worked at Bear Creek for
two years before taking over as Course Manager in March 2006. Greens Superintendent
Jeff McBride also worked at Bear Creek for three years before being promoted
to his current position in early 2005. The newest addition to the staff
is Nathan Delcour who just came aboard this past March as Assistant Course
Manager.
